A very regal welcome to you.

As many of you will know the gentleman pictured above is a certain Francis Albert Augustus Charles Emmanuel, better known to you and me as Albert, Prince Consort or just Prince Albert. Albert lived a relatively short life, passing away at the tender age of 42 in 1861. As a testament to his many achievements in that time and also her love for him, his widow Queen Victoria built several monuments in his name. So many in fact that Charles Dickens once said he sought an inaccessible cave to escape them all. A little harsh maybe given that Albert himself had requested that no effigies of him should be made.
Anyway probably the most well known, and certainly the most relevant in this circumstance, is the Royal Albert Hall. A venue in which I witnessed my first ever concert. I have always been in awe of the Royal Albert Hall for its elegance, its history and as the site of my induction into something that changed my
